Including Friends In The Ceremony
Jon and Sarah made their wedding day extra special by including friends in the ceremony.
They chose several people to stand, one by one, and read a brief blessing. Some were humorous, others were sentimental. Each was a perfect expression of good wishes for the couple.
A Few Of The Blessings
May you be generous and giving with each other. May your sense of humor, sarcasm, and wit always continue to enliven your relationship.
May you act with compassion towards each other and those in the community and learn to disarm arguments with empathy and love.
May your home be filled with board games, fun, and laughter, and a healthy dose of competition. But may you never eclipse each other.
May your life be equal parts fancy and prancy and always feel like the ducks winning the Rose Bowl or the Avalanche winning the Stanley cup.
May your life together be as adventurous and as colorful as a cross country road trip.
May you always have the love and support of life-long friends who are both near and far. May you always share yourselves openly with them.
May you find a home big enough to hold all your stuff and cherished memories both old and still to come.
And may you always leave a piece of yourself wherever you go and revel in the spontaneity of life by saying “yes” more than “no.”
Community Support
Including their friends did more than make Jon and Sarah’s ceremony special. It also allowed these dear people to express their love and support of the newlyweds.
And that’s a wonderful gift!
